Start Them or Sit Them: Week 5

Quarterbacks

Start:  Sam Bradford is someday going to lead the Rams to the playoffs and he showed that this weekend.  Almost 300 yards passing and 2 TDs.  This guy is a future STUD.  This week start matt Ryan over Cleveland.  I'd expect this guy to pick the Browns apart.  Atlanta had a wake up call this past weekend and I expect him and Roddy White to connect twice in the red zone this weekend.  Man-genius will be on the hot seat when this game ends.

Sit: Why is Kyle Orton of all people making me look like a fool on this blog?  This guy is plaing way above his ability and I can't figure out why.  Could it actually be Josh McDaniels?  Sit D-MAC this week against the Packers.  The Redskins have average offensive line, poor receivers, and no running back other than Ryan Torain.  Smart play is to bench McNabb, but pick up Torain for a potential break out.

Running Backs

Start:  So maybe Beanie Wells isn't fresh. Maybe he isn't all that good.  But I blame the coach for putting the team in a bad position with no QB.  Teams know the Cardinals can't pass.  Max Hall could be a stop gap until he is exposed.  This week Felix Jones is going to get 15 plus touches.  Barber is a dinosaur and Jerry "Stone Cold" Jones said so.

Sit:  Ahmad Bradshaw broke out, then go hurt.  He'll probably be questionable for a few weeks but I hope he isn't because I have him in one of my leagues.  I need him to stay healthy.  Sorry, if you made the mistake of listening to me and sat this guy.  This week bench Cedric Benson for no other reason than the fact that I just don't like him as a person,

Wide Receivers

Start:  Greg Jennings is going to start get more looks because teams need to start worrying about Finley more.  Driver has scored touchdowns weekly which means teams need to start to pay attention to him now.  They cannot continue to let him roam the middle of the feel they way he does.  This week Jeremy Maclin should be start in all leagues.  I know Kolb hasn't looked that great this year, but neither has the 49ers defense.

Sit:  Santana Moss was shut down last week due to a poor performance by the Skins offense.  Expect the same thing this week with Malcolm Floyd.  There is no way he gets open this weekend against the Raiders.  Gates will continue to be the focal point for that offense in San Diego.

Tight Ends

Start:  Last week Shockey had enough of an impact to get 11 points for everyone.  This week Tony Scheffler will be a targeted early and often for the Lions.  I know the Lions aren't that great, but I expect them to muster up a win this week and it will be partly because Tony gets a TD this week.

Sit:  Good call on the Brent Celek benching.  Really, it was.  He only had 3 catches but his TD put him over the top of the threshold.  This week bench Kevin Boss.  One reason is because I hate the Giants and the other is that Boss only has 9 catches through 3 games played.  Expect more of the same this weekend.
